He'd do better work the next time he came over. He'd set up poisons. The rats were invasive to her home yet and they wouldn't hurt her. He didn't have to feel guilty about doing the job half assed today. She'd distracted him after all. He'd remind her of that if she gave him a hard time.

"In my work clothes? I don't mind, if you don't," he said not sure what else he had. He might have a tux in the back his closet, but that would be overkill for a bar. Best he didn't go home to get changed.
